Ms. Clark takes pride in the personal attention and high level of legal representation she is able to provide her clients, many of whom have referred friends and family.
Ms. Clark has been in private practice since 1981 and has been working as a solo practitioner since 1987. She now concentrates in Family Law with a particular focus on mediation, Collaborative Practice and the representation of children in custody matters. She is annually certified to act as an attorney for children by the Appellate Division, Second Department and is an active member of the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals, previously serving as President of the Board of Directors. For over twenty years, she has earned an “AV Preeminent” rating from the Martindale-Hubbell rating system and for the past seven years has been named as a "Super Lawyer" by Thomson Reuters.
Ms. Clark is intensively trained in the Collaborative approach to matrimonial and family law issues. Through the collaborative process, attorneys and other professionals work with the family to reach a mutually accepted resolution of all issues. This non-adversarial approach leads to a beneficial solution without resorting to contentious court proceedings since the parties and their respective counsel specifically agree to resolve all issues using a non-litigation model. The process is designed to minimize conflict in negotiating family law matters. This collaborative approach is particularly sensitive to, and protective of, the children in divorcing families.
With over 40 years of legal experience, Ms. Clark brings a high level of expertise to the benefit of her clients. Though experienced as a litigator, she is very appreciative of alternate dispute resolution models, including mediation and the Collaborative approach to divorce. She works closely with her clients to find the most appropriate and effective solution to their legal issues.
